The Onka Valley Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of past Sturt Premiership player John Greenslade as a Bulldog player for the 2020 season.

John brings a wealth of SANFL experience with 124 League Games culminating with a Premiership in 2016. ‘Johnny’ as he is well known, made his League debut in 2011 after starting his SANFL journey in the U17’s in 2007.

With the 2019 season finishing with a Grand Final appearance for the Bulldogs, attention has turned quickly to signing a player of John’s experience and skill set. John also has some family ties with the Bulldogs with Senior Coach Paul Tanner being his brother in law.

“I’m very excited to be heading to Onkas, the club is in a great position both on and off the field and for me personally to be able to spend more time with and around family members while playing football is important to me” said Greenslade

Onka Valley Football Club President Andrew Adcock was delighted about the signing. “As a club we are very honoured and excited to have Johnny join us. We have key behaviours and standards that we expect from all who represent our club, and Johnny brings these to us both on and off the field which is so important”

Senior Coach Tanner was equally excited about the signing, “I am just wrapped that John made Onkas his club of choice to play at. We have discussed his football future many times, but I always respected it was his decision, and now he has made it, I cannot wait to get him in with the playing group as we shoot for success in 2020. I just really want him to enjoy time with his family here at Onkas and obviously his football”.

The Onka Valley Football Club is very excited to welcome Johnny and his partner Emma to the club, and we look forward to enjoying many positive experiences and great memories to be made in the upcoming years.
