LOCHIE PETER joins the BULLDOGS in 2020

23 October 2019
The Onka Valley Football Club are pleased to announce another young Bulldog player is returning home to Balhannah.

Lachlan (Lochie) Peter the Division 2 Mail Medallist for 2019 is returning to Onkas where it all began for him as a young footballer.

A very talented player who spent many years in recent times playing Senior Football for both the Norwood Football Club and then joining the West Adelaide Football Club. Lochie then decided to play for Kersbrook in Hills Division 2 with his older brother Ben in 2019 taking out the coveted Mail Medal and playing in a Grand Final.

Lochie was excited about the move back to Onkas "It's really exciting to see what the club has going at present, and is continuing to build and I'm really keen to be a part of it. I've got family and a lot of my best mates at the club and it's great that I've got the chance play alongside them again."

Onkas President Andrew Adcock supported Lochie’s enthusiasm “A big part of our recruiting for 2020 has been to bring our talented Onkas Juniors back home and I am so excited that this has come to fruition.

The entire Peter family have been a big part of our club for decades with father Bronte being a past player and then all the Peter boys (Ben, Lochie and Will) playing at Onkas as well. The family’s Café ‘Kelsey Cottage’ is across the road from the oval and have been valued partners of our club for many years also. Now we are delighted to see Lochie back at Onkas and really look forward to seeing him represent the club in 2020.”

While this is another wonderful announcement for the club and supports the recent new signings of John Greenslade and Ed’s Smart, the club is also very proud of the fact the 2019 Grand Final group have all but committed to return.
A very exciting progression forward as the club continues on the back of Senior Coach Paul Tanner’s planning and progression to have Onkas permanently back at the top end of the table for years to come.

On behalf of all at the club we welcome Lochie and his partner Georgie to the Bulldogs and look forward to some great times both on and off the field.

Cannot wait for season 2020, as the Bulldogs look to go that one better.
